Think Your Internet is Slow?
If you think your internet is slow you may want to think again. In South Africa the internet is so slow that a pigeon with a disc tied to its leg is faster. Think its a joke? It may be to us, but not to the people in South Africa.
They thought their internet was so slow that they would run a test. That test resultd in a pigeon carrying a disk 50 miles to another computer, where it was taken from the pigeon and uploaded to the computer, all while another computer attempted to download the information through the countries primary internet service provider.
Guess who won…thats right, score one for the birds. In the amount of time it took the pigeon to fly 50 miles and deliver the data, the download of the data was only 4% complete.
So the next time you think your internet is too slow, remember, it could always be slower than a pigeon.
